Rajganj, 13th August: A man’s body was found hanging in Belakoba’s Kalarbari village in the Rajganj block on Monday night. The deceased, identified as Binod Bhumij, had been suffering from a prolonged illness and mental distress.
According to reports, his family, including his elderly father, wife, and daughter, found him hanging from the noose in their home. Subsequently, the police from the Belakoba Outpost arrived at the scene and Binod was rushed to the Rajganj Rural Hospital where the medical professionals pronounced him dead.
The family suspects that mental distress might have led to this tragic incident. On Tuesday, the body was sent to Jalpaiguri District Hospital for an autopsy while the police are further investigating the case.
