Rajganj, 23rd December: Sensation prevailed after the body of an individual was found hanging from a noose on a tree on the bank of Karatoya River near the Ambari area of Rajganj block.
The deceased has been identified as Subhash Sarkar, a resident of the Kamarvita area of Ambari. He was an e-rickshaw (toto) driver and a tea seller by profession.
As per details gathered, on Saturday morning, the locals spotted the lifeless body hanging from a tree. The matter was immediately informed to the cops of Ambari Outpost.
Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the spot, recovered the deceased body, and transported it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination. Currently, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire incident.
