Siliguri, 26th November: The Bhaktinagar police of the Siliguri Metropolitan police station have achieved a significant milestone and arrested the accused manager involved in alleged fraud of lakhs of rupees in a renowned health clinic of the city. The arrested accused has been identified as Sanjiv Dey, a resident of Maynaguri who currently resides on rent in ward number 43 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC).
According to reports, Sanjiv Dey spent the previous five years managing a nursing home located in the area under the jurisdiction of the Bhakti Nagar police station. It is to be noted that Sanjiv embezzled Rs 50 lakh while serving as manager in the clinic. However, he lost his job once the hospital management discovered the alleged fraud.
Following this, on November 23, the hospital administration filed a formal complaint at the Bhakti Nagar police station against the manager. Based on the information, the Bhakti Nagar police station arrested the manager on charges of committing fraud involving lakhs of rupees. On Sunday, the accused appeared in the Jalpaiguri Court for further legal proceedings.
