Naxalbari, 02nd December: A tragic incident surfaced from Ord Tea Estate of Naxalbari where an individual lost his life in a wild elephant attack. The deceased has been identified as Kiran Tirkey, a resident of Merry View Tea Estate.
According to reports, on Saturday, the locals spotted the deceased body of the person in section number 26 of the said tea estate. Upon receiving the news, the cops of Naxalbari police station and forest personnel of Panighata Range arrived at the spot and recovered the deceased body. On Sunday, the deceased body will be transported to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination.
Speaking in this regard, the nephew of the deceased revealed that his uncle was mentally challenged and reported missing for two days.
