Alipurduar, 08th November: A man was killed in an elephant attack in the Dalmoni area under the Falakata police station of Alipurduar district. The deceased identified as Nazir Hembram (52) was killed on Thursday evening.
According to reports, his body was found earlier on Friday. Upon receiving the news, police from the Birpara station and forest personnel from the Dalgaon range rushed to the scene. The body was recovered and sent for post-mortem examination.
The forest officials and police are investigating the incident to confirm the details behind the incident.
