Alipurduar, 20th September: In a tragic accident, a bike rider lost his life in a head-on collision with a vehicle in the Panialguri area of National Highway 31 in Alipurduar. The tragic incident occurred on Friday evening, with the bike rider falling onto the road and dying on the spot.
According to reports, questions are being raised about the occupants of the vehicle. Local residents claimed that two people were inside, but they fled the scene after the accident.
In response, an enraged mob vandalized the vehicle and set it on fire, while also blocking the national highway for some time. A large police force arrived at the scene shortly after, bringing the situation under control. Alipurduar SDPO Shrinivas MP confirmed that the incident is under investigation.
