Siliguri, 11th February: Sensation prevailed after a laborer was crushed to death by a wall that collapsed on him at the Fulbari Industrial area. The deceased has been identified as Subodh Sarkar, a resident of the Srinagar Colony in Fulbari-1 region.
It was reported that Subodh was engaged in the construction work of a sewer in the said area during which a nearby wall suddenly collapsed on him, killing him on the spot.
On the other hand, the other laborers fled away from the scene after the incident. The NJP police recovered the body and sent it to the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital for an autopsy. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
