Siliguri,08th September: Matigara police arrested a man on the charge of murdering his wife. The arrested accused has been identified as Suman Kharia (25), a resident of Chandmoni Chamta Line.
It has been learned that Suman Kharia’s wife Ankita Mahali died a mysterious death on August 31. When the matter came to light on September 01, the deceased’s mother Kismat Mahali lodged a murder complaint against her son-in-law at Matigara police station. The police launched an investigation and arrested the accused husband Suman Kharia.
Police registered a case under 498 (A), 302, 34 IPC and presented the accused in the Siliguri court today, where the court sent him to 05-day police remand to interrogate and investigate the matter. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
