Siliguri, 01st December: In yet another incident of deception, the officials of Siliguri Women Police Station arrested a man for allegedly engaging in physical relations under the false promise of marriage. The arrested accused has been identified as Imtiaz Ali, a resident of Asraf Nagar under the jurisdiction of the Bhakti Nagar police station.
As per the details obtained, Imtiaz Ali harbored romantic feelings for a woman. However, he was accused of luring the woman into his romantic trap and deceiving her to fulfill his selfish interests.
Reportedly, in September, Imtiaz took the woman to a hotel and engaged in physical relations under the pretext of marriage. Later, he gradually distanced himself from the woman.
On the 28th of the preceding month, the victim filed a formal complaint at the Siliguri Women police station. Following a thorough investigation based on the complaint, the officials arrested the accused Imtiaz from the Asraf Nagar area. On Friday, the accused was presented in the Siliguri court. The entire incident is under further police investigation.
