Siliguri, 24th January: The LPG employees were beaten by two liquor distributors in the Natun Para area under Ward No 5 of the Municipal Corporation, on Friday.
According to sources, the said LPG employees, on their vehicles, were supplying LPG at the Natun Para area, as usual. Meanwhile, two liquor distributors, travelling on a rickshaw, started a dispute with the LPG employees. The angry liquor distributors started beating the LPG employees, and also tried to set the LPG cylinders on fire. When the local people arrived at the scene, both the liquor distributors fled, leaving behind the illegal liquor.
Meanwhile, the Siliguri Police rushed to the spot upon receiving the news of the incident and recovered the illegal liquor. The Police are further investigating the incident.
