Siliguri, 29th April: A lorry travelling from Baneshwar More on Eastern Bypass lost control and hit a scooty, narrowly missing the scooty driver and a fish seller. The lorry crashed into a house on the side of the road. Both the scooty driver and fish seller sustained minor injuries.
The lorry driver fled the scene after the incident, and the angry locals vandalized the vehicle. The police from Ashighar Out Post and Bhaktinagar traffic police arrived at the scene to control the situation and manage the traffic. The Ashighar Out Post police used a crane to recover the lorry and initiated an investigation into the entire incident.
