Alipurduar, 20th September: Residents of the Karaibari area under Jateshwar-I Gram Panchayat of the Alipurduar district are relieved after a full-grown adult leopard in the area was finally caged.
According to reports, the locals of the area were panic-driven due to the invasion of a wild leopard in the vicinity. As a result, the forest personnel of the Madarihat Range had to resort to placing traps with food to capture the animal. Eventually, on Tuesday evening, the leopard was successfully confined. Following this, the rescued leopard was transported to the Jaldapara forest as stated by the forest officials.
