Jalpaiguri, 13th February: Based on a tip-off, the Kotwali Police launched an operation at the Goshala More near the National Highway in Paharpur and arrested a man for illegally smuggling liquor. The arrested individual has been identified as Roshan Ali, a resident of Bihar.
It was reported that Ali was trying to smuggle the liquor from Dhupguri to Bihar on a cement-laden truck. A large quantity of liquor, worth Rs 10 lakh, has been recovered from the truck.
The Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
