Leopard rescued from a sewer in Birpara Dalmore tea garden

Birpara, 14th January: A one and a half-year-old leopard was rescued from a sewer in Birpara Dalmore tea garden, on Wednesday night.


Reportedly, the leopard suffered eye injuries. However, the cause behind the injury has not yet been determined by the forest department.

The injured leopard was rescued and brought to the office of the Assistant Wildlife Conservator of Jaldapara National Park, where it is currently undergoing treatment.


Post recovery, the forest department officials are likely to send the animal to the South Khairbari Leopard Rehabilitation Center in Dooars.
