Kharibari, 27th January: Panic gripped the residents of the area after a leopard was spotted in Dangarbhita of Kharibari Block.
According to reports, on Friday night, a leopard entered a residence located in Dangarbhita and injured a goat. Subsequently, it fled by taking another goat in its grasp. After the incident, an atmosphere of panic prevailed in the area.
Upon receiving the news, the Forest Officials of Tukriajhar Forest Department arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation. In this regard, the beat officer of the Tukriajhar Forest Department stated that the information would be provided to the higher authorities, in addition to providing compensation to the victims.
