Rajganj, 22nd January: The accused teacher who was arrested for duping lakhs on the pretext of providing a job has been sent to police remand by the court for the next 7-days.
On Saturday, the accused Pankaj Kumar Barman, a teacher at Siliguri Baradakanta Vidyapith was produced in the Jalpaiguri district court during which the judge ordered him to be kept in police remand for 7-days. It is to be noted, on January 9, a complaint was made at Ambari Out Post for taking several lakh rupees in the name of providing jobs in upper primary. Santosh Barman was the first to be arrested after the investigation. On further interrogating Santosh, Pankaj Kumar Barman’s name surfaced.
The police of Ambari Out Post arrested Pankaj Kumar Barman on January 20 from his residence in Hakimpara.
