Phansidewa, 30th November: Today, Labor Minister Moloy Ghatak handed over identity cards to 100 workers at Kamla Tea Garden in Phansidewa block. Reportedly, the identity card has been issued on the instructions of TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee. Identity cards will be handed over, in the same way, tomorrow at Bagrakot Bagan.
Apart from this, 50 crèches and health centres will be set up in the tea garden. Labor Minister said that the wage of tea workers has increased from Rs 67 to Rs 232 during the ruling state government. Facilities of drinking water to ration are being provided free of cost. The work of Chai Sundari project is going on in which 12,000 houses are being built.
During this, officials of the Labor Department including the Chairman of the Building and Construction Board, Reetbrat Banerjee were present.
