Siliguri, 05th June: The death of a pregnant elephant has sparked nationwide outrage with many in utter disbelief over the nature of the crime.
The Darjeeling District United Truck Operator Welfare Association, on Friday, staged a protest against the cruel act. The organization members protested by lighting candles and garlanding the portrait of the dead elephant in Noukaghat More.
Organization Secretary Raju Das and many others demanded strict action against the offenders.
