Jalpaiguri, 05th June: Padma Shri Karimul Haque is likely to launch COVID-19 awareness campaigns in 80 Gram panchayat areas under Jalpaiguri district.
As per the information, residents of Jalpaiguri, for the past several days, staged protests in different areas with several demands including repatriation of migrant workers and proper quarantine centers in the district. Apart from this, several administrative officials often face difficulties due to a lack of awareness among the common people. In this regard, the Jalpaiguri District-in-Council requested Padma Shri Karimul Haque to launch awareness campaigns.
In response to the request, Karimul Haque, along with all the Pradhans of 80 Gram Panchayats and the local BDO, is likely to launch COVID-19 awareness programmes. He also held a meeting with the vice-president of Jalpaiguri District-in-Council Dulal Debnath in this regard.
Karimul Haque stated that every single person must step forward to deal with the pandemic.
