Kaliyaganj, 07th March: The Kaliyaganj police, on Saturday night, arrested 7 people along with 4 geckos from the Kaliyaganj Fatehpur area.
The arrested accused have been identified as Rajesh Mirdha, Sushit Kumar Mandal, Tapash Sarkar, Sujal Sarkar, Shiren Sarkar, Jatindranath Sarkar, and Tanay Kabiraj. All are residents of South Dinajpur. They were produced at the Raiganj district court on Sunday.
The rescued geckos were later handed over to the forest department.
