Janta Curfew: Siliguri under complete shutdown

Siliguri, 22nd March: In view of the Coronavirus outbreak, the PM requested to follow the ‘Janta Curfew’ today (March 22).

The people of Siliguri have fully supported the Janta Curfew as all shops have been completely shut down and very few people were sighted on the streets. The traders have also informed that the shops in Siliguri’s Bidhan Market will remain closed till Tuesday.

On the other hand, although the North Bengal State Transport bus service is available to provide services, no passengers could be spotted in the bus-stands. Many trains have also been canceled due to which the number of passengers at NJP station premises is very low. Only the people who are involved in emergency services have been sighted on the streets.
