Jamia Firing: Siliguri SFI activists protest in response to the incident

Siliguri, 31st January: A day after an armed man opened fire at protesters near Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia University, the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) took to the streets of Siliguri to protest against the incident.


It is to recall, on Thursday afternoon, a self-radicalized shooter opened fire during an anti-CAA protest right outside Jamia University in Delhi. In the chaos, Jamia Millia student Shahdab Farooq was shot and suffered injuries.

Protesting the incident, the SFI activists today took out a rally from Siliguri’s Hashmi Chowk and circled various areas of the city. In the rally, the SFI strongly condemn the central government. Many members of SFI were present on the occasion.
