Jalpaiguri, 16th July: In light of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, a lockdown has been imposed in the municipality areas of Jalpaiguri as a containment measure. The lockdown has come into effect from Wednesday and will continue till July 19.
In this regard, the Kotwali police, since Thursday morning took to the streets along with a large police force and raised awareness among the citizens. Miking was also carried out on behalf of the police.
Strict monitoring is being kept in various parts of the city including Merchant Road, Dinbazar, Beguntari more, Kadamtala, and DBC Road.
