Jalpaiguri, 19th July: In light of the skyrocketing number of COVID-19 cases in the city, the administration has decided to extend lockdown for further 07 days starting July 20 from 6 am.
As per the directives, all offices – government and private will remain closed, except the offices providing essential emergency services and involved in COVID-19 management, Treasury, Banking, PDS distribution, LAW AND order, Disaster Management.
All religious and social activities except for marriage and last rites of deceased (with the allowable participants limit) will be prohibited.
While all Market Complex and shops selling non-essential items will remain closed, industrial activities involving in non-essential activities will also be stopped.
