Alipurduar, 11th May: In a recent development, Jaigaon police conducted an operation resulting in the arrest of an individual found in possession of cough syrup. The arrested accused has been identified as Pemba Sherpa.
Reportedly, acting on a tip-off, the police raided a residence located in the Bow Bazar area of Jaigaon on Friday. During the raid, a significant quantity of banned cough syrup was seized from the premises, prompting the arrest of the accused.
Later, the arrested accused was sent to the Alipurduar court on Saturday. At present, the case is under further investigation.
