Islampur, 21st January: Sensation prevailed after a woman’s body was found hanging in the Alinagar area of Islampur under North Dinajpur district. The deceased has been identified as Anwara Khatun.
According to local sources, the locals sighted the 22-year old’s body hanging from a noose on Monday night. Upon receiving the news, the Police recovered the body and sent it to the Islampur Hospital for an autopsy.
It was reported that was married to Mohammad Jasim 4 years ago. Since then, her husband and her father-in-law started to demand extra dowry from her family members. Anwara’s family accused that she was murdered by in-laws over dowry. The Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
