Islampur, 27th July: The Islampur police arrested the security guard of Islampur Super Specialty Hospital along with firearms. The accused has been identified as Biswajit Thapa, a resident of the Islampur Newtown area.
Reportedly, the accused allegedly fired several bullets in the air on Sunday night, which created a stir in the entire region. After receiving the news, the police rushed to the spot and arrested Thapa along with firearms. A pistol was also recovered from his possession.
Islampur District Superintendent of Police Sachin Makkar stated that the youth was in a highly intoxicated condition when the incident occurred. He was produced before the Islampur court on Monday. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
