INTTUC leaders help Railway restart water service

Siliguri, 18th January: The water service, which was halted due to complications in the tender process, was re-launched today after 10 long months by INTTUC leaders Prasenjit Roy and Arup Ratan Ghosh.


Due to the closure of the water service, numerous temporary workers had lost their jobs. Meanwhile, the railway department was trying to normalize the situation with the help of railway workers.

However, with the efforts of the two INTTUC leaders, the Railway Department commenced the work through a private company. Prasenjit Roy maintained that he was happy the temporary workers got back their jobs. He said that the railway passengers will get proper service from now on.
