Siliguri, 07th November: India-Bangladesh Maitri Priti Football 2022 was organized under the aegis of the Siliguri Veteran Players Association. The tournament was played between the Golden Past Club of Bangladesh and the Siliguri Veteran Club. The spectators were filled with enthusiasm regarding the Indo-Bangladesh game.
Siliguri Veteran Club won by a 2-0 goal. During this, other dignitaries including sports lovers, and football players from both countries were present. At the end of the game, players from both countries were handed momentoes.
Siliguri Veteran Players Association secretary Swapan Dey said that the relations between the two countries have improved due to the friendly football match. Sports like football have been a major factor in growing the love between the two countries.
At the same time, Bangladesh coach Musafir Hossain said that football is one of the most played and loved sports in both countries. He further added that if there is even the slightest improvement in their game they will consider it as an advantage. He further wished the popularity of football to keep growing in both countries.
