Siliguri, 07th February: An important meeting was held in Siliguri’s Dinabandhu Mancha regarding Rubella Vaccine. Teachers of all government and private schools under the Siliguri Municipal Corporation, the Mayor, the District Magistrate of Darjeeling, and medical officers attended the meeting.
It has been reported that schools in the city lag far behind schools in the surrounding rural areas in taking the rubella vaccine. The Mayor and the District Magistrate expressed their anger on this. The meeting discussed that the Rubella vaccination should be met by February 11. Giving a strong message, the District Magistrate said letters will be sent to the school if they fail to comply with it.
