Rajganj, 19th December: The cops of Rajganj police station successfully busted an illegal call center functional in Saheb Para of Belakoba under Rajganj block and arrested seven individuals. The incident caused a stir in the area.
According to police sources, a few women allegedly visited a residence located in Saheb Para of Belakoba every day and subsequently left in the afternoon. Upon receiving the news, the cops of Belakoba Outpost and Rajganj police station jointly conducted an operation and raided the residence. During the raid, five young women and two young men were arrested from a room in the house. In addition, several mobile phones, sim cards, two laptops, and other items, were seized. Simultaneously, the police also retrieved a four-wheeler.
The preliminary investigation by the police indicates that an illegal call center was functional in the residence. The accused will be produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation.
