Siliguri, 24th February: While being taken to the Jalpaiguri court today, the main accused of the NJP dry port case, Prasenjit Roy, addressed the media and stated that he was not present at the scene that very day and has been framed.
It is to be noted that Roy and his associates were accused of conducting vandalism at NJP’s land port, on February 04. The entire Siliguri police commissionerate, including the NJP police, was searching for him. Although the police managed to arrest Roy’s closest associates, Roy was still at large. At last, the police got hold of Roy in Assam. A team of the Siliguri police commissionerate brought him to Siliguri on Tuesday.
