Siliguri, 15th October: Sensation prevailed after a human leg was found floating in the river near Mahananda bridge under Matigara police station. The locals sighted the amputated leg floating in the river this morning and reported the matter to the Matigara Police Station.
Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot, recovered the human body part, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
