Siliguri, 08th November: In a major breakthrough, the Special Operations Group (SOG), in collaboration with the cops of Pradhan Nagar police station, recovered a huge quantity of banned firecrackers from a residence located in the Narmada Bagan area under the Ward No. 46 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC).
As per reports, on Wednesday, the authorities launched an undercover operation, based on a tip-off, and raided a residence in the said area. Subsequently, the massive bulk of banned firecrackers, with an estimated market value worth crores were seized, ahead of Diwali and Kali Puja. Following this, an individual was detained for interrogation. At present, police are engaged in further investigation
