Siliguri, 15th June: Based on a tip-off, the Pradhan Nagar police, on Sunday night, launched an operation and arrested 3 people along with a huge cache of cannabis. The arrested accused individuals have been identified as Basanti Murmu(30), Sima Mahato(32), and Milan Das, residents of South Dinajpur.
As per the report, the police stopped a bus arriving from Cooch Behar last night. After thoroughly searching all the three accused who were present inside the bus, a bag was recovered from their possession which contained 22 kgs 240 grams of cannabis.
The arrested accused were produced before the Siliguri court today. The Police have launched an investigation into the whole incident.
