Nagrakata, 28th May: A house in the Sukhani basty area under Nagrakata block was severely damaged after a wild elephant went on a rampage, late Wednesday night.
According to sources, a wild elephant came out of the Jaldhaka forests and entered the said area, destroying a portion of Mohan Saotal’s residence. The animal ate cooked food grains stored in the house, destroyed a maize field in the locality, and then headed towards the forest.
As per the information, the village has witnessed such a rampage for three consecutive days.
