House damaged in elephant attack in Ambari

Rajganj, 06th January: A house was damaged in an elephant attack in the Chakiabhita area near Ambari. Anglu Roy, the owner of the house, stated that an elephant came out of the Baikunthapur Forest, late night on Sunday, and started a rampage. His house was damaged in the elephant attack. The mammal also ate two sacks of rice stored in the house.


Upon receiving the information about the incident, the Forest personnel reached the spot and chased the elephant towards the forest. However, no family member has been injured in the incident. According to the forest department, compensation will be provided to the victim's family.
