Fulbari, 26th November: A house was burnt to ashes in a fire that broke out in the Jorpukhuri area of Fulbari No. 2 gram panchayat on Friday night. Reportedly, neither the owner of the house, Kamal Paul, nor any family members were at home when the incident took place.
Reportedly, Kamal’s neighbours spotted the fire and initially tried to douse the fire by themselves. Later, the fire department was informed and an engine from Fulbari Fire Station reached the spot. However, the house and all the belongings were burnt to ashes by then.
Following the incident, local leaders including the Pradhan of Fulbari Gram Panchayat, Dilip Roy, arrived this morning to take stock of the incident. Blankets and four tarpaulins along with food items were handed over to the family. He also assured all possible help in future. It has been reported that there is no electricity connection in the house. NJP police are investigating the cause of the fire.
