Siliguri, 18th March: Two weeks ahead of West Bengal assembly polls and the festival of colours Holi, Siliguri is witnessing a mass production of Abir. More than two thousand kilograms of Abir are being prepared in Shastri Nagar of Siliguri.
Meanwhile, keeping in mind the winning party’s ritual of celebrating with abir, green and saffron coloured abir is being mainly produced. Apart from this, abir of other colours including red, yellow is also being made for Holi. Along with Siliguri, the Abir is being sent to dealers of various districts of North Bengal.
