Siliguri, 23rd November: Himalayan Hospitality and Tourism Development Network came forward on Tuesday to stand by the drivers of passenger vehicles. Reportedly, the drivers from West Bengal are being fined on various charges as soon as they enter Sikkim. However, the vehicles of Sikkim are plying in Siliguri with no restrictions.
The HHTDN went to Sikkim Nationalized Transport and handed over the memorandum to the officials today. On behalf of the organization, Jayanta Majumder said that a memorandum has been issued today. The Sikkim state government is also being informed about the matter.
