Madarihat, 24th November: Panic gripped after a herd of wild elephants entered the Meghnath Saha Nagar and Pradhan Nagar areas of Madarihat. The herd was spotted by the locals during the morning walk.
According to reports, five wild tuskers entered the area from the Jaldapara National Park forest. Fortunately, several people escaped the elephant attack. Later, the herd of elephants moved towards the forest. In this regard, the local people stated similar incidents occur occasionally, resulting in fear among the area residents.
