Alipurduar, 18th September: On the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja, Hathi Puja was organized in Jaldapara on Monday. During the occasion, elephants were worshiped by the Jaldapara Forest Department at the Salkumar area of Madarihat.
As per reports, the occasion was graced by Jaldapara Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Sandeep Kumar Berwal. Kumki elephants were given a bath and decorated this morning. In addition, the elephants were fed with different kinds of fruits.
