Darjeeling, 14th August: Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) Chief Anit Thapa, along with Darjeeling Municipality Chairman Dipen Thakuri, visited Sunflower Road and Mall Road in Darjeeling on Wednesday. During the visit, the officials declared both areas as “no vending zones,” fulfilling a prior commitment made by the GTA Chief.
Chairman Thakuri announced plans to convert Sunflower Road into a designated resting and busking zone. He also mentioned that the Darjeeling Municipality is in the process of relocating shops that previously operated on the road.
GTA Chief Thapa’s visit to the Mall Road area further emphasized the administration’s commitment to implementing these changes.
