Siliguri, 23rd October: The Siliguri Metropolitan Police have undertaken a new initiative to enhance the safety of women at railway stations with the establishment of the GRP Winners Team. This team was officially formed at NJP Railway Station and will focus specifically on reinforcing women’s safety.
The Winners Team comprises a total of 22 female police officers, including 4 women officers who will lead the team. This team is divided into two groups, tasked with patrolling from the railway station to the trains.
The initiative aims to create a safer environment for women traveling by train, ensuring their security and well-being throughout their journey.
