Rajganj, 06th June: In a commendable initiative, the Gram Panchayat (GP) authorities handed over financial aid of Rs 25 thousand to the family affected by the devastating fire in Ambari. On Thursday afternoon, Binnaguri Gram Panchayat (GP) Pradhan Samijuddin Ahmed of Rajganj block along with local panchayat members and local leaders visited the family and extended their support.
Notably, on the previous Sunday night, a sudden fire erupted in the house of labourer Rajib Roy, a resident of Colony No. 9 near Ambari. As a result, three houses of a family were burnt to ashes. Additionally, the land papers of the house, gold assets, and about Rs 1.25 lakh in cash were reduced to ashes. Consequently, the incident had left the family in distress.
After the incident, local leaders including Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy rushed to the scene and assured the family of government assistance. On Thursday, Binnaguri Gram Panchayat handed over financial assistance worth Rs 25 thousand to the family. In addition to this, the family was assured of further assistance in the future.
