Rajganj, 29th May: A free eye examination camp was organized in Ambari, facilitated by the Moon Light Club of Ambari in collaboration with Siliguri Lions Netralaya, providing healthcare assistance to the local community.
The camp witnessed a significant turnout from residents of the area, eager to avail themselves of the eye examination services offered. In addition to comprehensive eye check-ups, attendees were also provided with free medicines and spectacles. Furthermore, arrangements have been made for free cataract surgeries for those identified in need, in cooperation with Siliguri Lions Netralay.
In this regard, Debabrato Bhowmik, the secretary of Moon Light Club, expressed the club’s commitment to organizing such initiatives twice a year. He highlighted the challenges faced by many underprivileged in accessing healthcare services in urban centers due to financial constraints. In light of this, the club aimed to bring essential medical facilities closer to the community through events like free eye examination camps.
