Siliguri, 20th January: A microfinance company in Siliguri has been accused of carrying out fraudulent activities. A written complaint has also been lodged against the company at Siliguri police station today.
Reportedly, Raju Paswan, a resident of Siliguri, had invested money in a scheme through the company’s agent Suresh Kumar Prasad. Paswan allegedly had deposited a total of 25 thousand rupees on December 20, 2017. He was assured that after 36 months, i.e. in the year 2020, he would receive 76 thousand 500 rupees in total. However, no money has been returned to him so far.
Hence, he lodged a complaint against the company at Siliguri police station today. Meanwhile, the police have started an investigation.
