Fraud alleged against a private company in Siliguri’s Hakimpara

Siliguri, 09th July: Allegations of fraud surfaced against a private company in Hakimpara, Siliguri. The complainants approached the Siliguri Police Commissioner in this regard.

The complainants claim that the company took 80 thousand rupees from them and in return, they were given a machine and pencil-making materials. The workers of the company told them that they would receive a commission as per the number of pencils they could make. They further alleged that the company took a huge quantity of pencils from them and took off without paying them a single penny. No solution was received even after contacting them through the phone. Hence, they lodged a complaint yesterday at the Panitanki outpost.

Today, they approached the police commissioner about the matter. However, they could not meet him as he was not in the office at the moment. A man named Ranit Sarkar said, “The company workers should come back and give us our money. We will return all their machines and other materials.”
