Siliguri, 11th March: In a swift operation, undercover cops from Siliguri police station arrested four miscreants before they could execute a planned crime. The arrested individuals have been identified as Vishal Haldar, Babai Karmakar, Deep Chhetri, and Swapan Roy.
As per reports, on Monday night, police received a tip-off that 10-12 miscreants had gathered in the Deshbandhu Para pipeline area of Ward No. 30 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation with the intent to commit a crime.
Acting promptly, police raided the area and apprehended four individuals, while the rest managed to flee upon learning about the police’s arrival. Several weapons intended for the robbery were recovered from the arrested miscreants.
On Tuesday, the accused were presented before the Siliguri court. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
