Naxalbari, 04th February: Following applications submitted during the ‘Amader Para, Amader Samadhan’ camp, the foundation has been laid for five new roads in Ketugabur Jote area of Maniram Gram Panchayat, each approximately 400 meters long.
Until now, many village roads were unpaved, making movement extremely difficult during the rainy season. Despite repeated requests over the years, villagers received no effective solutions. The issue was finally addressed after residents submitted their concerns at the ‘Amader Para, Amader Samadhan’ camp.
The foundation for the five concrete roads was laid today by Maniram Gram Panchayat head, Gautam Ghosh. He stated that villagers of Ketugabur Jote had been demanding these roads for a long time.
Local residents expressed happiness after the ceremony. The Panchayat head also criticized that, despite winning elections, BJP MLA and MP had not initiated any work in the area. He added sarcastically that the state government’s new paved roads would likely be showcased again during the 2026 elections.
